Decopaw art is custom-designed digital pet art printed on gallery-grade stretched canvas or fine art matte paper.

Technical Print Information

Decopaw prints on canvas and matte paper are what are called a "Giclee", which is a fancy French name for an archival inkjet art print. Giclee prints are higher in quality and longer lasting than a standard photographic inkjet print from a lab or home photo printer.

The inks, paper and canvas used are archival, which provides excellent quality images with rich, highly saturated colors that last for a very long time (100+ years) before any noticeable fading or discoloration occur (standard lab prints are rated at 7-10 years).

Fine Art Prints on Matte Paper

10.3 mil Enhanced Matte Archival Epson paper is used for the prints. It yields highly saturated images, while maintaining excellent highlight and shadow detail.

The Matte prints are borderless and matte in look with a very flat, smooth, graphic appearance.

Matte prints require framing under glass for optimal UV protection. Prints are available in standard rectangular sizing (8x10, 11x14, 16x20, 18x24).

Stretched Canvas

The canvas prints are printed on a 17.5 mil Epson stretchable artists canvas designed especially for Giclee printing. A special ink receptive coating makes the media resistant and protects the surface from cracking. Images are brilliant and well saturated, providing a very rich look to the finished pieces.

Canvas Decopaw prints are hand-stretched and mounted on 1 1/2" thick solid wood stretcher bars in the same manner as a traditional painting. The edges of the canvas (the part seen from the side when hung) are printed black for a sleek, contemporary look.

Canvas prints are finished with a semi-gloss protective archival UV varnish spray and come ready to hang with picture wire and nails. No additional framing is necessary. Canvases are available in rectangular sizes, square sizes and custom sizes, such as a triptych (1:3).
